Four New LED Video Display Walls Enhance Praise and Worship at First Baptist Church of Glenarden

Communications Engineering, Inc. (CEI) upgraded and replaced the Worships Center’s two aging projection systems with three, dynamic direct LED video walls.  Flanking left and right of the large center cross in the 4000 seat Worship Center, are now two beautiful 25×14 foot wall mounted Vanguard Rhodium 4mm LED displays. Each wall consists of 144 cabinets maintaining the native 16:9 aspect ratio of their HD video production and eliminating any need for downstream image processing to fit the new displays.

A third, 10×10 cabinet wall, spanning 21×12 feet is flown from the ceiling at center stage on a truss and chain lifts. This center wall can be positioned at various heights and re-shaped with additional cabinets depending on each event’s needs.

The modular cabinets are magnetic with quick locks for easy installation. Maintenance is convenient with front or rear access and the mounting locations come pre-threaded to allow for creative mounting solutions for tremendous event flexibility. The LED units are panels that are latched together to make the wall creating exciting new opportunities to enhance the worship services. FBCG AV team finds the video wall easy to assemble and configure into various dimensions for flexible use – positioned side by side to create a large, seamless display or scattered across the stage to add creative depth and dimension adding a dynamic visual experience to the messages.

Sitting mere inches off the main wall in the FBCG Ministry Center is a fourth wall mounted 64 cabinet, P4 16.8 x 9.5 Vanguard LED Video Display. LED is far brighter and requires about half the power of other display products, resulting in savings on the church’s utility expenses.
